Idea for Proposal

Over yesterday and today i have been putting together a basic plan for my proposal. I have decided that over the next couple of weeks I will be entering the weekly competition held by Illustration Friday. New topics are real eased every Friday summed up by a single word. Illustrators can then create imagery surrounding this topic and submit it to the site. In order to submit images the illustrators need to have the images hosted on their own websites/blogs. So for me doing the artwork and posting to the site will be about creating good finished pieces of work that are portfolio worthy and building the blog, website will be the marketing aspect.

I need to start looking around and what options i have for producing an on line gallery. My time is constrained so i would need to build something pretty quick.

Scriptographer

Back in ILLUS 210 i played around with using the Scriptographer plug in for Adobe Illustrator. Unfortunately the style of artwork that i was producing using this tool was not appropriate for my magazine cover designs but, but for creating stand alone pieces of work, it was great. I felt that i had discovered something unique with what i could do with the software i and i want to use it again in this module and see how it fits with the new techniques and processes i have developed more recently.

Bit curious as too how i will approach my research for this module. Think the marketing side will be fun, have been wanting to create a website for a while now. Need to learn how to distribute my work more efficiently, learn where it is most appropriate to share my work.

Initial project ideas.

So its the beginning of the final module of this year and i have the opportunity to do pretty much what i want. Got my results back for my previous module and i am absolutely chuffed with the result i achieved, just need to carry this standard of work through into ILLUS 230 and take it further.

I have been reading over the feedback i received for ILLUS 210 and ILLUS 220 and i am using this to establish a starting point. From ILLUS 210 i discovered that i needed to expand my vocabulary in illustration, in particular figures. From ILLUS 220 i just need to carry on and develop my media experiments and continue to try new things. I aim to extend the range of my practice and bring back elements that i have used in previous work. Should be fun!
